Cox Communications connects me to the things I love and do! I’ve been a customer of Cox Communications for over 10 years. Known for their fast internet, cable TV and smart home solutions. A few years ago I began a partnership with Cox. I was excited to show others how their incredible services have kept me connected to family and make my at-home work flow seamless. Cox has always gone above and beyond to make their services more accessible to everyone. Their newest ConnectAssist program provides affordable internet service for qualifying households. This allows everyone in our community to get connected in the new year.

Cox Communications Affordable Internet Options

Now more than ever people are working from home and need internet access. Additionally, more are actively looking for jobs and many require online applications. The ConnectAssist Program is one of Cox’s many programs to help everyone have internet access. The program is designed for low-income households who don’t qualify for Connect2Compete, an established program for families with children grades K-12 who participate in government financial assistance programs in Orange County, Los Angeles County (South Bay Area) and Santa Barbara region. Cox’s newly launched ConnectAssist program is an affordable option available to low-income households without school-age children. The program is available to households that already receive government assistance from programs such as SNAP, TANF, Head Start, WIC, LIHEAP, Public Housing, Pell Grant, Veterans Pension & Survivors Benefits, Tribal Programs, Supplemental Security Income, or Medicaid.

Discounted Device and Monthly Internet Service

Customers who qualify for ConnectAssist may also be eligible for the federal government’s Emergency Broadband Benefit program (EBB). Cox is a participating EBB provider meaning qualifying customers are given a discount on the purchase of a computer and up to $50 a month toward a their internet bill. ConnectAssist, Connect2Compete and EBB are one of Cox’s many efforts to create digital equity.
